The weight of the glass is what surprised me most, it feels substantial in hand but the smooth surface makes insertion really comfortable. The metal base gives you something solid to grip, which I didn't realize I wanted until I tried it.
The hand-blown glass has a slight swirl in it that catches the light, so it looks more like a little art piece than something I'd keep in a drawer. Warm water rinse before use and it holds temperature way longer than I expected. Genuinely one of the nicest things I've bought this year.
