The rubber has just enough bend that you can control how hard the hit lands, which made easing into it way easier than I expected. It's soft on the surface but still delivers a solid crack when you want one. My partner and I have gotten way more use out of this than I figured we would.
I was worried it'd be too intense for a beginner, but the rubber has just enough give that it lands with a satisfying thwack instead of a sting. The bendable shaft makes it easy to control the angle, which my partner appreciated.
The first crack had an unexpectedly satisfying snap, and the bendable rubber flexes just enough to make control feel effortless while still landing a firm sting. My partner let out a yelp that was half protest, half laugh, and we both knew the lesson had landed.
